THE INCHING DEVICE

The newly developed inching device accomplishes the important function of disengaging the transmission during the braking phase in order to accurately operate the vehicle and to provide a "millimetric" control of it.

The initial stroke of the pedal is dedicated to the "inching" function and, once finished, the braking one begins. Therefore the driver is able to modulate the stopping phase according to his requirements by adjusting his foot force on the pedal.

The full system is composed of: brake pedal assembly with master or power cylinder, inching valve, reservoir, connections and whatever else required to meet any specific system requirement.

The chart shows how the valve allows to open the brake circuit once the inching stroke has finished. This device is also ideal whenever reductions of overall dimensions are required.
